We are looking for an Analyst to support our Asset Management and Acquisitions Team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, extraordinarily adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and has a knack for creative problem-solving. It is important that this person can juggle diverse responsibilities with efficiency and humor. Experience with complex financial modeling, such as cash flow models, sensitivity tables, debt structures, and equity waterfalls, is preferred.
Location and Timing
This role is based in San Francisco, CA and is available for immediate hire. Start date is negotiable.

BA or BS degree with a strong academic background

Minimum of 3 years of experience at a top investment bank, management consulting firm, real estate, or private equity firm.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ARGUS preferred

Passion for investing and strong interest in real estate acquisitions

Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision and can handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgment

Proven ability to absorb and analyze complex material to produce timely, accurate, insightful, and concise work product

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to take initiative and own work-streams yet collaborate with the broader team

Create and develop financial underwriting models across a wide range of property types and investment profiles (debt, equity, and structured transactions).

Perform macro and micro research to analyze and identify new potential markets for expansion of firm’s investment strategy.

Perform on-site market- and deal-specific research for investment opportunities.

Conduct transaction due diligence, including underwriting analysis, building development models, in-depth review of tenant leases and financials, and review and reconciliation of property related reports.

Prepare investment memorandums and other presentation materials for prospective acquisitions and capital raising efforts.

Work with Acquisitions team to determine the structure of potential investments, including analyzing the impact financing options of changing tax laws.

Review and negotiate legal documents (including loan documents, leases, and joint venture agreements) with outside counsel to ensure that financial terms, liabilities, and representations are favorable.

Interface with local brokers, partners, consultants, attorneys, and transaction counter-parties.

Support fundraising, primarily through LP coordination and creation of investor presentations.
